Before becoming a physician, Dr. Marx’s career was shaped by diverse experiences that enriched her perspective on health. She worked with rural and underserved populations, gaining firsthand insight into the unique challenges they face. This included time in a clinic in Namibia, where she saw the transformative impact of simple, preventative measures like adequate nutrition and hydration. She also applied her expertise in urban settings, such as the Bronx Lebanon Emergency Department, where she helped to address complex cases involving chronic conditions and nutritional deficiencies.

Her academic and professional journey has been marked by a commitment to integrating traditional naturopathic principles with cutting-edge scientific research. As a participant in the Accelerator for Biosciences in Connecticut (ABCT), Dr. Marx honed her entrepreneurial skills and brought her vision for Vis—a nutritional support solution for surgical patients—to life. Throughout the development process, she remained steadfast in sourcing only the highest-quality ingredients and securing a patent for her formula. Dr. Marx and Vis Pre-surgery won the “best in showcase” award for health at the 2024 Yale Innovation Summit.
